In the heart of the Plateau-Mont-Royal, the Marie-Anne Project is a renovation of the kitchen, living room, and bathroom of a Montreal apartment with a unique charm. The idea was to redesign these spaces to adapt them to modern living, without erasing the architectural details that make these typical neighborhood homes so beautiful.

The moldings, woodwork, and classic details guided our approach, with the desire to create a country-inspired interior where the original features retain their place. Rather than seeking to completely transform the identity of the dwelling, we chose to build upon its character to imagine spaces that seem to have always been part of the place.

Soft hues, natural materials, and touches of color breathe new life into the different rooms. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom each possess their own distinct identity, while sharing a common aesthetic language that blends simplicity, tradition, and more contemporary touches.

An interior that retains what we love so much about Plateau housing, with just enough novelty to write the next chapter of its story.
