Morin-Perras Project
Granby, QC
Extension, Two-generation home
2026

The Morin-Perras Project was a home extension project undertaken for Maripier Morin and Jean-Philippe Perras, as part of the television show "Les Morin-Perras sous le même toit" (The Morin-Perras Under the Same Roof), broadcast on Crave. This multigenerational home project aimed to bring the family together under one roof with the arrival of Jean-Philippe's parents, by redesigning the spaces to create a balance between closeness and privacy.
This residential extension adopts a mid-century approach, updating the style through the expansion of the house while preserving its original character and inspirations. The interventions were designed to highlight the existing architecture, integrating clean lines and combining them with warmer elements characteristic of this timeless style.
The materials, colors, and textures were carefully selected to create a cohesive and lasting atmosphere. Wood plays a central role in the project, bringing warmth and depth, while certain bolder materials, particularly in the kitchen, help to structure the different spaces of the house.
Each zone was designed to meet the specific needs of an intergenerational home, emphasizing ergonomics and seamless flow between communal and private spaces. This family project thus offers a living environment that is functional, elegant, and perfectly suited to the realities of harmonious and convivial cohabitation.
